Xbox 360: New Wireless Controller Unveiled by Microsoft

Microsoft is looking to debut their new Xbox 360 controller with a transforming D-pad in November, according to a company announcement on Tuesday. The controller has a different color scheme than traditional Xbox controllers, sporting a gray and black background with black and white buttons rather than the traditional white design with multi-colored buttons.

Updated D-Pad Controller

The controller’s most standout feature is its D-pad, which can be rotated from a “plus” format to a “disc” format. The “plus” format is more effective for directional moves, while the “disc” format can be used for sweeping moves.

XBox Live' Gold Service Prices Going Up November 1

“The engineers went back into the laboratory and came up with this ingenious solution,” Xbox Live programming director Larry Hryb said in a video. "It is a revolutionary D-pad that transforms from a disc into a plus…with the twist of a hand". Other features include 2.4-Ghz wireless technology with a range of 30 feet. The controller comes with a Play and Charge cable for constant use with 35 hours of play per charge. The controller will be available on November 9 in the US for $64.99 with the Play and Charge Kit.

Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds team up for 'Lethal Weapon'-like cop film, report says

Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds are set to play San Francisco cop buddies in a comedy movie with an "updated Lethal Weapon flavor that plays into edgier  R-rated territory," The Hollywood Reporter says. The two are aided in a case by their fathers, who are friends and former police partners forced out of retirement, the trade publication said. Representatives for the actors had no immediate comment. The Lethal Weapon film franchise, which consists of four movies released between 1987 and 1998,  boosted the careers of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, who played squabbling cop partners.

Cooper, 35, starred in the spy series Alias and became even more famous after he starred in films such as the 2009 hit R-rated comedy film The Hangover and a  recent film adaptation of The A-Team. He is also set to star in The Hangover 2, which is set to begin filming in October and is due for release on May 26, 2011. Reynolds, a 33-year-old Canadian actor, starred in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl from 1998 to 2001 and played the title character in the 2002 comedy film  Van Wilder, which starred Tara Reid. He also starred in X-Men Origins: Wolverine alongside Hugh Jackman in 2009 and plays the title character in the superhero  film The Green Lantern, which is set for release on June 17, 2011. Reynolds told OnTheRedCarpet.com in July that shooting scenes for the movie in a motion capture suit was "the weirdest experience ever." Sheldon Turner, who helped pen the screenplay for the 2009 George Clooney film Up in the Air and who wrote the 2006 movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre:  The Beginning, has been named as the screenwriter of Cooper and Reynold's new film.

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Return to New Orleans in Remembrance of Katrina

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie returned to New Orleans this weekend to mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Pitt was seen Friday touring homes in New Orleans' devastated Lower 9th Ward, US Magazine.com reported.

Pitt appeared on NBC Nightly News Friday, recalling his initial reaction to the destruction. "It was unfathomable. I mean, just -- you had no idea that there were families and here," Pitt said. "It was just wiped clean. Except for the occasional pile up of homes and -- on top of homes."

In 2007, Pitt help establish the Make It Right Project, which so far has built 34 "eco-friendly" homes in the area, with the goal of reaching 150 structures, USMagazine.com said.

Debbie Gibson : I am Like Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne.

FORMER teen pop princess Debbie Gibson has compared herself to Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne. The singer whose hits include Only In My Dreams, Foolish Beat and Shake Your Love says Taylor and Avril refuse to be put into a music industry mold just like herself.

“At that time they were all like ‘put her in a little black dress and put on heels’. They were trying to vamp me up because it’s an easier sell,” Gibson said about the beginning of her career. “I always said ‘I’m not comfortable with that. That’s not me, let the other girls do that’. “I look at Avril Lavigne or I look at Taylor Swift. You know, they still wear high-tops with their gown to an award show. That was me.”

Debbie says she isn’t a fan of music’s other sexed-up pop divas because it’s an image they will have to live with long after the teen years end. “When you put that image out there, you get a very different perception and treatment by men and people on the streets and in the industry,” she said. “You’re not  equipped at that age to back that up, so why kind of play dress up and go there? Wait until you come into your own as a woman.”

andra Bullock on Adopting Baby Louie: "Everything Works Out the Way the Universe Wants It To"

Sandra Bullock says she had faith throughout the adoption process that she was going to be put together with the right child. See photos of Bullock through the years.

"I think everything works out the way the universe wants it to work out," Bullock said during an interview with Matt Lauer airing Tuesday on Today. "We had always said that it didn't matter where the child came from. If they had issues that were medical issues, we didn't care. It's like the child that needed us in the home is the child that's going to be placed."

The 46-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who referred to her son as "a little Cajun cookie," credits her friends and family with helping maintain her privacy during the adoption process.

Sandra Bullock tops Forbes' list of highest-paid actresses. "It takes good people with integrity ... human beings exist that have integrity that know how to keep their mouth shut, that know the bigger picture, that don't sell out their friends," said Bullock. "I have friends and family that are filled with massive amounts of integrity. And it shouldn't be an oddity." Following husband Jesse James' cheating scandal earlier this year, Bullock announced to People in April that she had filed for a divorce from James and quietly adopted a baby boy born in New Orleans.

'Dancing with the Stars'

'Dancing with the Stars' splits with pro dancer Edyta Sliwinska.

By Reality TV World staff, 08/30/2010
Dancing with the Stars has split with Edyta Sliwinska, the only professional dancer who had participated in all of the ABC ballroom dancing competition's first ten  seasons.

Sliwinska has quit Dancing with the Stars due to "a major disagreement" with the show's producers, TMZ reported Monday."The producers' vision of what they wanted my career to be did not meet my expectations. They wanted my career to be the show. I can't be a dancer my whole life," the 29-year-old dancer told TMZ.

In addition, Sliwinska said she was also frustrated that Dancing with the Stars' producers haven't included her husband Alec Mazo in the show more. "I want to work more with my husband and [the producers] didn't make him a big part of the show or very involved,' she told TMZ.

Mazo won Dancing with the Stars' first season with Kelly Monaco but didn't participate in another edition until the show's Spring 2007 fourth season, when he was paired with supermodel Paulina Porizkova, who ended up being the first celebrity voted off by viewers.  He was then cast in Dancing with the Stars' Fall 2007 fifth season with supermodel Josie Maran, but was once again part of the first couple voted off. Mazo then returned for the show's Fall 2008 seventh season, where he was paired with singer Toni Braxton and finished eighth in the competition, and its Fall 2009  ninth season, where he was paired with Olympic gold-medal swimmer Natalie Coughlin and finished in tenth place.

Sliwinska told TMZ she has several post-Dancing with the Stars projects in the works. "I am also going back to school to get my degree in Communications and Dance. I also have more projects that I want to work on," she said. However Sliwinska is still under contract to the show, according to a TMZ source, so her immediate plans are unlikely to include another dance show. Dancing with the Stars had no comment on Sliwinska's remarks. Sliwinska and Mazo wed in 2007. ABC will formally announce Dancing with the Stars' eleventh-season cast during tonight's Bachelor Pad broadcast.

Emmy Awards 2010 fashion: Black and white all over the red carpet

The 2010 Emmy Awards  will not make any headlines on the front fashion, unless you count all the ladies who went the black and white route. Sometimes it worked. Tina Fey either tries too hard or not at all, but we thought her beaded Oscar de la Renta  struck the right note, interesting but not over the top. Sometimes it didn't did anyone else get an urge to go out for a black-and-white cookie after seeing Lauren Graham's oddly-cut number?

We liked "True Blood" star Rutina Wesley's strapless gown in a splashy print one of the few actresses to stray from solids (and we're not talking about diets here) and Heidi Klum's teeny-tiny minidress also hit the right notes. We didn't show full-body version here, but trust us, it's not much longer than what you see here.

PAULA Abdul is “speechless” that people want to see her return to American Idol.

PAULA Abdul is “speechless” that people want to see her return to American Idol. The former singer — who quit the TV talent show in 2009 after seven years as a judge — is delighted that her fans are desperate for her to re-join the panel. “I’m very grateful,” she said. “I have tremendous gratitude that people want to see me on television and that people miss me on Idol. That leaves me speechless. It really does.

“I’ll always be a fan of the show. I had an amazing time. To be part of something from the very beginning that grew into such a worldwide phenomenon is really awe-inspiring. It’s going to go down in history. It’s always wonderful to be part of something that’s larger than you could have ever imagined. People grow with time and you can always expect change. I’m forever a fan of the show and I’ll always watch.”

Adbul then discussed Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe’s recent comments that he wants her to return.

“They are very kind words,” she said. “I just found that out at work here, because people told me.

“I have the utmost respect for Nigel. Him going back to American Idol is in many ways a very big blessing. He’s a wonderful producer and I’m taken by the kind words he had to say. I have tremendous respect for him.”

Leonardo DiCaprio gets restraining order against Livia Bistriceanu, who sought father for 'Jesus'

Leonardo DiCaprio has been granted a restraining order against Livia Bistriceanu, a "delusional" woman who referred to herself as his wife and who sought a father for "Jesus".

"Dear husband, Leo, I am your wife and it would be nice of you to talk to me as I ask you," she wrote in a June 2010 letter, one of several sent over the past four years and filed with DiCaprio's order, filed at a Los Angeles court.

"Do you want to be with me for real and to be the father of Jesus? You know I'm a mother with Jesus and you saw His miracles.," Bistriceanu wrote in a 2008 letter. "Why don't you wanna be with Him, His father? If you don't want me and Him, you're going to Hell. I love you, but if you don't answer to my love, I must go for somebody else. I don't have time to wait anymore."

DiCaprio, 35, said he did not know the woman, whom said expressed "delusional thoughts and irrational feelings" and had no desire to be in contact with her. The court ordered Bistriceanu to stay at least 100 yards away from DiCaprio. She has not commented on the ruling and it is unclear if the woman has a child.

"Given this obsessive and harassing behavior, I am frightened of Ms. Bistriceanu and feel that my personal safety and the personal safety of those around me, is in jeopardy," he said in his filing.

DiCaprio was a teen pin-up in the 1990s and became an overnight sensation with the movie Titanic in 1997. He recently starred in the sci-fi thriller Inception.

Earlier this week, a 40-year-old woman named Aretha Wilson, 40, was extradited from Canada to stand trial in Los Angeles on charges of striking DiCaprio with a wine glass at a private Hollywood party in 2005, and injuring his face and neck, the Reuters news wire said, adding that DiCaprio needed several stitches after the incident. Wilson could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubrey Enjoy a Day in London with their Daughter Nahla

Actress Halle Berry and her ex boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey  were spotted picking up their daughter and playfully swinging her around in the air as they took a quick family stroll while out and about in London Thursday morning (Aug 26). The family of three spent the day visiting the London Eye, Harrods and watching the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace.

Even though Halle and Gabriel split up months ago, they still find themselves spending a lot of time together……and they have their 2-year-old daughter Nahla to thank for that. However, a source close to Halle Berry tells People that despite what it may look on the outside, Nahla’s parents aren’t getting back to together anytime soon. “They are great parents and they want the best for Nahla,” a source close to Berry tells PEOPLE. “She is their priority.

They love that little girl a lot. They’re going to co-parent and go on with their lives,” the source says. “They will be in each other’s lives forever.” Indeed they will! It’s good to see that Halle and Gabriel can continue to stay on good terms for the sake of their daughter.

Hayden Christensen & 'The Takers' Review

Hayden Christensen & 'The Takers' Review

Hayden Christensen is one of many famous faces that are hitting the silver screen tonight as 'The Takers' is set for premiere. Here's a review of the film from Amy Biancolli of The Houston Chronicle.

Someone has to say it, so I will: Shaky cam is out of control. After sitting through Takers with my stomach rearranged by hyperactive camera spazzing, I hereby formally request all directors and cinematographers to just get a grip already and STOP. WIGGLING. THE CAMERA.

I'm not insisting that no one should employ the wobbly hand-held approach under any circumstances, ever -- it has its place in documentaries, first-person horror and small Danish movies -- but I am suggesting rather vehemently that any filmmaker who considers going jiggly should first sit down and watch Fritz Lang's M, and then decide whether scrambling the audience's visual field is truly the best approach to telling a story. Even in an action movie. Especially in an action movie: Paul Greengrass, this means you. Maybe it's me, but I thought the point of watching fistfights, chases and shoot-outs was to actually see the fistfights, chases and shootouts. If I were only interested in hearing them, I'd sit in the theater with a bag over my head.

Take Takers. It's a mindless, hyper-stylized heist movie, but the mindlessness is inoffensive and the stylishness is slammin'. I count myself among the world's many film goers content to watch hip dudes make plans, wear suits and smirk, especially if there are explosives in the offing and a grinding dance beat underneath it. The dudes, in this case, are a gang of sleek L.A. robbers who do high-class, high-yield work and then retreat to a penthouse for drinks. They include Hayden Christensen in a porkpie hat; Idris Elba as an earnest English ringleader with a crackhead sister (Marianne Jean-Baptiste); Michael Ealy and Chris Brown (yep, that Chris Brown) as a pair of smart and dingbat brothers, respectively; and Paul Walker doing what he does best, namely, glaring with purpose.

When an old gang member played by Tip "T.I." Harris (yep, that T.I.) shows up, fresh out of prison, he wants them to jack an armored car carrying 25 or 30 million bucks. After a brief discussion of pros and cons, Elba's character arrives at this razor-sharp conclusion: "We're takers, gents. That's what we do for a living. We take." The movie thus consists of the gents making plans, and wearing suits, and smirking, all while a tough-guy copper sniffs around the edges. He's played by Matt Dillon, last seen boosting his very own truck in Armored.

Britney Spears To Marry Boyfriend JASON TRAWICK

BRITNEY SPEARS is reportedly planning to tie the knot again. According to reports, Britney Spears has decided to marry her current boyfriend and former agent JASON TRAWICK. According to inside sources, Britney and Jason "have decided to have a small, intimate ceremony, not a big media circus. They'd like to say 'I do' by the end of the year".

Britney Spears To Marry Again?

BRITNEY SPEARS is reportedly ready to tie the knot for the third time by marrying her current boyfriend and former agent JASON TRAWICK. British newspaper the Daily Star quoted a close source to the couple as saying, "They've decided to have a small, intimate ceremony, not a big media circus. They'd like to say 'I do' by the end of the year". The superstar singer was pictured with Trawick holidaying in Hawaii this week, and if reports are correct, then Spears is likely to make the 38-year-old her third husband.

In 2004, the 'Toxic' star was married to JASON ALEXANDER for just 5 hours, after the couple bizarrely wed in Las Vegas. Alexander was a childhood friend of Spears, and the wedding resulted in intense media interest. However, the marriage was annulled shortly after, with the BBC quoting Spears' lawyer as saying, "There is no marriage now. Jason agreed to this completely. They've made a wise decision. I know they care about each other. They are friends". Spears then went on to marry KEVIN FEDERLINE, who is the father of her two sons.

The singer has now sold more than 100 million records worldwide, and - according to the Recording Industry Association of America - she is the eighth top-selling female artist in the United States.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Anniversary Of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Death

Anniversary Of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Death

STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, the legendary blues guitarist, died 20 years today when his helicopter crashed in Wisconsin. On August 30th 1990 - three days after the tragic accident - Vaughan was buried close to his father's grave in Oak Cliff, Texas. The singer had just finished a co-headlining tour with ERIC CLAPTON when the helicopter that he and some of Clapton's entourage boarded got into difficulty and crashed, killing everyone aboard.

After beating a potentially life-threatening alcohol and drug habit, Vaughan went on to record the GRAMMY AWARD winning album 'In Step', released in 1989, which resulted in a resurgence in the popularity for blues music across the world. His band, DOUBLE TROUBLE, released their acclaimed debut album 'Texas Flood' in 1983, after famously turning down the chance to tour with DAVID BOWIE. In the years since his passing, Vaughan has been remembered for his iconic licks, and his battered Fender Stratocaster guitar - an instrument that is now considered one of the most famous in rock history.

In 2000, Stevie Ray Vaughan was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and became eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

Christopher McQuarrie, who directed The Usual Suspects, has been hired to direct an adaptation of the British mini-series Unforgiven. Jolie will star as a woman who kills two police officers in a fit of rage when they show up to her house because her family is to be evicted. The bulk of the movie will depict the woman's life after she spends 15 years in prison and her struggle to fit into the outside world.

The film is slated to be released via GK Films, who already has a strong working relationship with the 35-year-old actress, according to Deadline.com. Jolie stars in the upcoming movie The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp. She will also reportedly direct, write, and star in an upcoming movie about the Bosnian war.

ANGELINA Jolie has been on the war path!

The actress has allegedly been lashing out partner Brad Pitt  with whom she raises six kids because she’s been so stressed out promoting her new movie Salt.“Angie gets very irritable at times and poor Brad’s often in the firing line,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “As everyone knows, they’ve had problems, but their sex life has always been good. Now I hear even that’s been affected. It’s not like Angie to lose interest in the sack!” Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Jolie has been whinging that Brad’s sexy ex-wife, actress Jennifer Aniston, has such a good relationship with the actor’s mom, Jane Pitt. America’s In Touch Weekly magazine alleged the Salt star had initially planned to take a solo trip to Budapest to scout locations for her upcoming film. But she took twins Knox and Vivienne, 2, with her because she didn’t want them to be with Pitt’s parents.

“Angie had been complaining to Brad that it’s weird for his mom to talk to his ex-wife, but Brad just brushed it off. So she decided she didn’t want Jane watching over the twins,” a source said. “Jane still thinks of Jennifer as a daughter.“She knows that Angelina isn’t happy about the friendship, but that doesn’t stop her from keeping Jen in her life.“Jen consults Jane on everything from major purchases to romance to her career.“Jane cherishes her friendship with Jennifer. They care about each other.“Jane has never kept it a secret. She doesn’t see why she has to cut off that connection. “Brad thinks Jane is a grown woman and she should be able to do what she wants.”

This time the adoption procedure was in Vietnam. A little three-year-old boy called Thien (=sky) became Jolie's Pax Thien Jolie. His adoption mother added Pax (=piece) to his first namen. He spent three years at an orphanage in before Jolie adopted him in March 2007.

Heaven's gift

Who would have thought that Angelina would be the new face of the American luxury apparel label St. John. It did not interest the media though. Understandable because what really mattered was the baby of boyfriend Brad Pitt who was born in May 2006 via Caesarean section. For weeks the prominent couple and their adoptive children (see below) prepared themselves in the „Burning Shore Lodge“ in Namibia (Africa) for their new daughter. Her name is "Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt“ and she was born in Namibia. Shiloh is Hebrew and means „the peaceful one.“ Nouvel is French for "the new".
