About “Jack and Jill.” New Comedy Film

Katie Holmes, Adam Sandler Partner Up in New Comedy Film

Katie Holmes, Hollywood actress but mostly known for her marriage to Tom Cruise, is joining actor-comedian Adam Sandler in the comedy film “Jack and Jill.” According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film is schedule to shoot this October.

The film follows Jack, a family man who has problems with his twin sister, Jill. Where does the funny come in? It turns out that Sandler will play both Jack and Jill roles. Holmes was last seen on the big screen in “Mad Money” with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah in 2008, E! Online reported.

What’s next for the 31-year-old Mrs. Tom Cruise? Apparently a remake of the 1970s horror flick “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark."

JACK AND JILL VS. THE WORLD

Al Pacino and Katie Holmes are in talks to join the comedy Jack and Jill, produced by and starring Adam Sandler.  Dennis Dugan, who has directed six Sandler movies, will enable this abomination. Sandler plays a family man forced to deal with his twin sister when she comes to visit and won’t leave.

He will play both parts (Jack and Jill).  Holmes will play his wife.  Pacino is playing himself. The Hollywood Reporter says Columbia is targeting an October start date for a 2011 release.  I can’t help but think how huge this news would have been ten years ago.  Now the movie itself may end being a funnier punchline than any of its jokes.
